A Card that Offers Shopping Convenience for Customers and Their Family

JAKARTA - In line with its positioning as the Bank for you and your family as reflected in its latest communication theme "Millions of Families. One Bank", PermataBank continuously creates and develops various products and services that fit the needs of its customers and their family.

Its newest product launched in Jakarta on 28th January is Permata Shopping Card, a product under cooperation with the MasterCard. This credit card product was designed to accommodate the various needs of the families and is presented in two types: Permata Shopping Card Classic and Permata Shopping Card Platinum. Among the privileges and convenience offered by Permata Shopping Cards are cash-back of up to 10% at all grocery stores (hypermarket, supermarket, mini market) and restaurants, reward points, perpetually free annual fee for a certain level of retail transactions and 0% interest for all credit purchases at anywhere, anytime. Another incentive is a cash bonus of Rp 100,000 per month when the cardholders make transactions of minimum $ 1 million, valid until April 2011.

For its cash-back privilege of up to 10%, Permata Shopping Card is unique since it gives the customers such privilege and convenience at all grocery stores and restaurants. This is the feature that distinguishes Permata Shopping Card from the other credit cards of the similar type that only give the customers such benefits when they make transactions at certain grocery stores and restaurants.

Permata Shopping Card also offers additional benefits in the form of rewards points on their transactions and the cardholders can simply exchange the reward points earned with any retail transactions. With retail transactions of a certain amount, the cardholders will also enjoy free annual fee for life.

In addition, customers can also make "simple pay" installment transactions with 0% interest for a period of 3 months or the choice of 6 and 12 months installments to help them manage the payments of their bills. The holders of the Platinum Permata Shopping Card are provided with extra benefits of free airport lounge facilities and travel insurance.

Public Funds continue to increase

Until the third quarter of 2010, Third Party Funds grew 27% YoY to Rp 53.6 trillion. Current and saving accounts recorded strong increases of 41% and 38% YoY to Rp 12.4 trillion and Rp 11.6 trillion respectively. Meanwhile, time deposits recorded an increase of 18% YoY to Rp 29.6 trillion at the end of September 2010. This means that the composition of low-cost funds (CASA) has increased to 45% compared to 41% for the same period last year.

At the beginning of December 2010, PermataBank announced the completion of the acquisition of PT GE Finance Indonesia ("GEFI"), following the formal approval of Bank Indonesia on the transaction. GEFI is the only non-bank credit card issuer in Indonesia, and it controls more than 6% market share. This acquisition will increase the scale of PermataBank's credit card business portfolio threefold and raise its credit card market share to 8%.
