| Raymond J. Ferguson, President Commissioner Singapore citizen. Appointed as President Commissioner of PermataBank pursuant to the resolutions of PermataBank’s EGMS on 29 August 2008 and obtained approval from Bank Indonesia on 9 December 2008. Ray Ferguson is the Regional Chief Executive Officer, Singapore and South East Asia for Standard Chartered Bank. Headquartered in London, Standard Chartered PLS is listed on both the London Stock Exchange and the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong and is ranked in the top 25 among FTSE-100 companies, by market capitalization. It has a history of over 150 years in banking and has an extensive global network of over 1,600 branches located in over 70 countries. Ray is responsible for all of Standard Chartered's businesses in Australia, Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. He is based in Singapore and reports directly to Asia Chief Executive. Ray also holds the following appointments:
Ray is an experience international banker with over twenty years of senior management experience. His two most recent roles with Standard Chartered were Chief Executive Office of the Americas and Chief Executive Officer of the United Arab Emirates. His career with Standard Chartered Bank has taken him from the UK as a Senior Manager, UK branches in 1994 to Singapore for three years, where he managed Asia Pacific Cash Management Sales. In 1997 he became Head of Corporate Banking in the Philippines, and was appointed Chief Executive and Corporate and Institutional Bank Head of Taiwan in 1998. Ray was Chief Executive and Corporate and Institutional bank Head of Indonesia from 2000 to 2002, and subsequently appointed Chief Executive Office, UAE in 2002. Ray is an Associate of the Institute of Bankers in Scotland and a full member of the Singapore Institute of Directors. He also serves on the following councils in Singapore: The Association of Banks, The Institute of Banking and Finance, The Financial Sector Development Fund Advisory Committee, The Institute of Service Excellence at SMU, The Human Capital Leadership Institute. Ray holds an MBA from Henley Management College and Brunel University, UK.
